Meteor Shower? Where?

There was suppose to be a Meteor Shower tonight but I didn't see it.  Perhaps that's because I live in the city.  The best view is after midnight they say.  Called the Perseids Meteor Shower, it will be the most visible one this year.  Now I just read that the best night to view it will be on Thursday night.
